Overview of Curriculum
At Corinaldi Avenue Primary School, we utilize the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Information curriculum to provide each student with a solid educational foundation. Starting from Grade one, students engage with specific themes that build a strong basis for their learning journey, a practice that continues throughout Grades two to six. This seamless progression offers a balanced and coherent educational experience.
Community Profile
Corinaldi Avenue Primary School is situated in a highly populated urban area, only 1.3 km from the centre of the city. The community has an estimated population of eighty two thousand eight hundred and sixty seven (82,867). The greater part of the community could be regarded as inner city. Most of the parents from the community are low-income earners. Their main occupations are vendors, factory workers, domestic helpers, tailors and auto mechanic.
The school, nonetheless, caters for a vast number of students outside of the community. Both the parents from without and within the community work well together, and form a highly cohesive group resulting in a vibrant P.T.A. The parents are, for the most part, very supportive of the school. They are also generally satisfied with the quality of education offered at the school.
Many of the community members are of the Christian Faith and worship at different denominations nearby. The most popular ones are the Church of God, Baptist and Seventh Day Adventist.
The community members utilize the school facilities regularly. The boys and men use the playfield for football practice and also for competitive matches.

Review of Summative Assessment Plans
The assessment committee will review each teacher's plan for summative assessments. These plans are to be developed at the beginning of each term and should indicate clearly how the mastery of each unit, as well as overall term grade, will be determined. It is expected that each teacher will evaluate each student in the class at the completion of each unit, and will record grades in their mark books.
